PHOTOS: Casey’s Corner continues to prepare for reopening
It seems like it’s been ages since guests have been able to bite into a deliciously hot and juicy hot dog from Casey’s Corner in Disney World’s Magic Kingdom Park. The must-see theme park has been closed since Disney World reopened to visitors last summer. However, it looks like we may be getting closer to an opening date.
On June 23, Inside the Magic announced that Casey’s Corner had received a menu update, which means an opening date could arrive soon, although Disney has yet to announce the restaurant’s reopening. The restaurant will no longer serve its bacon and cheese hot dog or bacon and cheese fries, but the incredibly popular corn dog nuggets will remain on the menu.
Now, more changes are happening inside Casey’s Corner, so an opening date could be just around the corner! Magic Kingdom customers can catch a glimpse of the reopening preparations that appear to be taking place at Casey’s Corner. Inside Magic’s Alessa D. was visiting the theme park today and took these photos from inside the restaurant. Take a look below!
As you can see there are candlesticks around the corner which can potentially be used to control the queues when the restaurant opens. Tables have also been put back inside the restaurant. The interior of Casey’s Corner was empty, with no tables, before that.
Casey’s Corner opened at the Magic Kingdom in 1995 – after a retheme from Refreshment Corner to Casey’s famous poem At The Bat – and has been a popular place for guests to grab and eat quickly and tasty during their day at the Magic Kingdom. .
At the moment, Casey’s Corner does not have an opening date. However, fireworks are expected to return to the Magic Kingdom on July 1 – which could be the perfect time to reopen the restaurant.
