Houston’s beloved food truck, Waffle Bus, opened its second brick-and-mortar location on December 17..

Waffle Bus, founded by Phi Nguyen 10 years ago, started out as a food truck (as the name suggests) before finally opening its first brick and mortar restaurant in the Heights in 2019. Now they’ve opened their second brick-and-mortar location right in the community of Montrose.

They are known for their wide array of waffle offerings like Chicken and Waffles, Thunder Chicken Fries, and “fryders” (sliders with waffle fries). In addition to waffles, they also offer wings, sandwiches, and burgers.

For dessert, they have sweet waffle sandwiches and a milk and cereal bar that offers different brands of cereal with additional toppings like rainbow nuggets, gummy bears, and waffle cone pieces. Specifically for their location in Montrose, they’ll be offering a soft serving Dole Whip with black cherry, pineapple, or you might even get both.

The Waffle Bus Montrose store is located at 1540 West Alabama, formerly the BuffBurger, and has plenty of outdoor and indoor seating for your dining pleasure. You can check out their delicious menu here.
