Several flights, restaurants in Queenstown and Auckland, a cinema and several bars are among the latest places of interest linked to the Covid-19 epidemic.

Paradise Bar Otara was added as a close contact event to the Ministry of Health’s official list on Thursday afternoon. Anyone who was there from 1 a.m. to 3 a.m. on Sunday must isolate themselves, test themselves immediately and again on the fifth day after being exposed.

The following locations have also been added as close contact events:

  • Hoyts Cinemas Silvia Park for anyone who watched Spider-Man: No Coming Home at 1:20 p.m. on Monday
  • Habana Boutique Rum Bar Queenstown from 2:30am to 4am on Sundays
  • The Sundeck Rooftop Bar in Queenstown from 9pm to 10pm on Saturdays
  • Flight NZ5017 from Auckland to Napier, departing at 10.45am on Sunday, for anyone seated in rows 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10.

Anyone who was at Jervois Steakhouse in Queenstown on February 3 or BP2go Cromwell from 12:15-12:30 p.m. on Saturday is not considered a close contact, but should self-monitor for symptoms of Covid-19 during 10 days after being exposed and passing a test. if symptoms develop.

Earlier Thursday, flight JQ252 between Wellington and Auckland between 8:40 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. Monday was added as a close contact event.

People seated in rows 13, 14, 15, 16 and 17 were considered close contacts, the ministry said.

Passengers on the flight were told to self-isolate and get tested immediately and again on the fifth day after being exposed.

My Thai Lounge in Queenstown between 7:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. on February 4 was also added as a close contact event, as was Des Tradition’s restaurant on Stoddard Rd, Mt Roskill in Auckland, between 11:40 a.m. and 10 p.m. January 31. The restaurant was previously added as a place of interest on February 1 and 2 between 11:40 a.m. and 10 p.m.

The advice was also to self-isolate and get tested immediately and again on the fifth day after being exposed.

Meanwhile, Lonestar on The Esplande at Inner Kaiti between 6:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. Sunday was added as a close contact event earlier on Thursday.

Just like Skyline Gondola on Brecon St Saturday between 3.30pm and 5.45pm. Those exposed at that time were asked to self-monitor for symptoms of Covid-19 for 10 days.

These Queenstown locations come after the first case of Omicron was identified there.

Queenstown Lakes Mayor Jim Boult said he understands the person is a man who lives locally and isolates himself in his own home.

Earlier today Air New Zealand flight NZ614 and Queenstown Airport on Sir Henry Wigley Drive, Frankton was added to the department’s official list. The theft was listed as a close contact event.

Those on flight NZ614 from Queenstown to Auckland on Sunday between 9:19 a.m. and 11:03 a.m. were asked to self-isolate immediately and again on the fifth day after being exposed.

Anyone who was at the airport on the same day between 8.45am and 9.15am should self-monitor for symptoms of Covid-19 for 10 days.

Eleven new places of interest were added to the official list on Wednesday, all of which were listed as close contact events.

The lists below can be viewed in two ways: Date of visit (slots added today have the word NEW next to them) or, if you flip the toggle to date includednewly added locations appear at the top of the list.

If you were at a place of interest at any of the specified times, you may be required to self-isolate and be tested. Follow the instructions for that location on the Ministry of Health website and call Healthline on 0800 358 5453 for advice on testing.

This list is automatically updated as places of interest appear on the Ministry of Health website.
