Citi named Steve elms as the new Treasury and Trade Solutions (TTS) sales manager for business, commerce and the public sector, according to an internal memo, which notes that the appointment is effective immediately.
Elms will be responsible for managing the global sales force in his new role, including defining the roadmap for growth, fueling revenue generation through sales and improving the customer experience.
The executive will also lead all sales initiatives to fuel cross-client offerings such as cash management and working capital financing, with the inclusion of business solutions, working with the institutional and consumer workforce of the company.

Elms has a long history at Citi through TTS. The executive served as Global Head of Commercial Sales from 2020 and prior to that, held the position of Head of Sales and Marketing for Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) . Elms will continue to co-lead global commerce with Adoniro Cestari Neto until a global trade manager is appointed.
In April, PYMNTS reported that TTS launched Citi Service Insights (CSI), which includes integration with SWIFT gpi Case Resolution. In a press release, Manish Kohli, global payments and receivables manager at Citi, called CSI “a digital self-service tool that can be used as a dashboard to raise, manage and close inquiries.”
“The first data on the effectiveness of case resolution has been very promising, showing that claims are resolved faster and more efficiently than equivalent claims unrelated to case resolution,” according to an announcement, as previously reported.
The news comes as PYMNTS reported in January that Citi had appointed Khaliq as the new head of TTS.
